Troll for School Southern bluefin Tuna 10 to 30kg with chances of catching barrel size tuna 100kg plus.
Fish offshore deep-sea bottom bouncing for an array of deep-sea species.
Up to 700 meters deep, using Shimano electric Beastmaster 9000 and the new 12000 reels.
Depending on area you will fish for Blue eyed Trevalla, Gemfish, Blue Grenadier, Morwong, Tasmanian Trumpeter, Ling, Mako Sharks, School Sharks, Gummy Sharks, Snapper, Big Flathead and a chance at catching many more species.
The Bonney Upwelling brings nutrient rich water to the surface around Portland each year and with it brings an abundance of fish.

Deep water Big Fish, a real Fishermans paradise.
DEEP DROPPING requires low winds under 10knots or less to be able to hold bottom whilst drifting over 650 meters of water. We also use a sea anchor to slow our drift. Deep dropping is weather permitted especially through the WINTER months

You can hop aboard for a 4hr Seal & Bird watching tour.
The seal colony at Cape Bridgewater is the largest mainland Australian fur seal colony with over 2000 seals.
There are Seals and lots of Birds on Lawrence Rocks
(Single mixed tours will be to lawrence Rocks)
Seal Tours will be done on request.
On tour there is a high chance of seeing Dolphins,
Southern Wright and Humpback Whales and chances
of spotting Blue Whales
During their migratory season from May to November.
These whales pass along the coastline right in front of Portland,
Some even staying around for weeks at a time.
Alot of the time you will spot mother with newborn Calve's.
From time-to-time Orca's (killer whales) also visit these areas.
Bird Watching charters are also available on request.

WHAT TO BRING
Please bring yourself an Esky or Chiller box with ice
and please leave in your car for your fish after the charter.
There are 2 large 260lt Esky's on board for catches.
All fish are bled and put on ice.
We clean the fish once back at port and bag it.
The days catch is shared out between those on charter
Bring warm clothes for those colder days, suitable footwear, a hat, sunglasses/sunscreen for those warmer days.
Wet weather gear for offshore charters recommended
suitable shoes/boots for the day waterproof recommended
Please take sea sickness tablets at least 30 minutes prior to boarding the vessel if you get seasick or you are unsure please take them.
They will also be available for purchase on board if you have forgotten
please ask master or crew to purchase
All people must have a Current Victorian Fishing License

Once aboard the vessel you will be greeted by the master and crew to be given a safety briefing before departure.
Offshore charters are not recommended for children under 12 but entirely up to the parent or guardian.

Built to Survey by Pro Marine.
Powered by 2 x 4.2lt turbo diesel Mercruisers
Capable of 20+knots with cruise speed of 17knots
Surveyed for 2D, 2C and 3C
Licensed to carry up to 12 passengers 2D (enclosed waters) and
10 passengers 2C (Portland waters)
Plus we also have
3C Commercial operations as well.
Catamarans are known for their stability at sea with ours being very suitable for the Portland's offshore weather conditions.
On board there is seating for all outside and inside under full cover.
Huge rear deck with inside Table /Lounge.
All trips have a BBQ lunch and Bottled Water Supplied
A toilet and private toilet room on board. This is not offered on very many charter boats.
